The Geometry of Connection
The Moments Series is a study of the unseen trajectories that define human interaction. This series explores the fluidity of the encounter — how brief intersections leave permanent imprints on our personal architecture.
The technical core of this series is the tension between the curve and the cord. Utilizing a demanding bent walnut veneer technique, the frames are engineered into a continuous, organic silhouette that defies the standard rigidity of wood. This process requires a high degree of precision, as the wood must be manipulated to its structural limit to provide a stable foundation for the textile.
Within these arcs, the fiber is woven, crocheted, and knotted into a rigorous crisscross pattern. Each intersection represents a point of contact — a singular moment held in place by the collective tension of the whole. By integrating the fiber directly into the curved wood, the work becomes a singular, unified object: a capture of fluid motion held in permanent, geometric stasis.
