FRAMED CROCHET ARTWORK
MARCH 2025
Lila was created during a quiet, reflective moment in my practice. A piece made freely, with no brief or collector in mind. It was born from emotion and memory, a way to honor my great-auntie Lila, who was like a mother to me.
Crocheted entirely by hand and framed in a soft, rounded frame, the piece speaks to tenderness, loss, and love. The neutral tones and subtle textural shifts give it a quiet strength. A tribute to someone whose heart was raw, pure, and constant.
This artwork marks a new chapter in my exploration of crochet within textile art, blending sculptural presence with personal narrative.
