We Moved!
— Step Inside the New Atelier Space —
Woohoo finally! We’ve been on a massive, highly challenging hunt for a new studio space. There were moments where I didn't think we’d find the right fit, but the universe definitely had a plan.
We have officially moved into our new home, and I am so, so happy.
The best part? It is literally a two-minute walk from our old studio. This was a massive relief because it means we are still right down the road from Prash’s workshop. As a two-person team, our collaboration is everything, and being able to run back and forth to chat about oak frames, custom joinery, and new designs in just a couple of minutes means the magic stays exactly the same.
Smaller, Sweeter, and Full of Soul
Our new space is a little smaller than the last one, but honestly? It is absolutely gorgeous. It feels like a creative sanctuary.
One of the things that made me fall in love with it instantly is the view. Looking out the window, I am completely surrounded by these beautiful, big trees. But my absolute favorite feature is the gorgeous, massive old tree sitting right outside the window.
It feels like it brings nature directly inside the room with me. It adds this amazing freshness to the studio, and when the wind blows, I get to listen to the sound of the leaves rustling while I weave. Honestly, it’s the most meditative backdrop I could have asked for haha.
Christening the Studio with a Major Milestone
Talk about good energy, we actually already finished our very first official commission right here in the new space! We hit the ground running with a big piece for a big hospitality project. Packing and sending a large-scale artwork overseas while surrounded by half-unpacked studio boxes was a trip, but it felt like the absolute perfect way to christen the new looms. I can't share more details on that just yet, but trust me, a full reveal is coming soon! 😉
Making It Our Own
We are still figuring out where all the kilometers of cotton cord and looms will live, but the energy in here is already so inspiring. It feels like the perfect place for the next chapter of the atelier, especially as we start prepping for those massive, monumental wall hangings we've been dreaming about!
Expect a lot of studio tours and "window-view" spam on your feeds very soon.
Thank you all for being so patient with us during this crazy moving transition. I can't wait to create beautiful things in this new light.
