behind
the work
EVERYTHING WE CREATE BEGINS WITH CARE, ATTENTION AND INTENTION
HERE’S A LOOK AT WHAT THAT MEANS IN OUR STUDIO
materials matter
We believe the story of each piece starts with the materials. That’s why we’re selective about what we work with.
Prash spends time choosing wood that comes from sustainable, certified sources. Every plank is inspected for its strength, grain, and character, ensuring it will not only look beautiful but also last for decades. On the fibre side, Ana partners with a small business whose practices we know and trust. We’ve met the people behind it, touched the fibres before committing, and made sure their values align with ours. That connection matters, because when you hold something in your hands for hours, you want to know it came from a place of integrity.
By starting with quality materials, we know that what leaves our studio is something we can both stand by and that you can feel good about bringing into your home.
time well spent
When you see one of our pieces, what you’re looking at is more than just fibre and wood. You’re seeing weeks of thought, preparation, and the quiet rhythm of making something by hand. Our work isn’t rushed. For us, this isn’t just about the finished artwork. it’s about the process, the way we approach our craft, and the values that guide every decision along the way.
For Ana, the rhythm of knotting and weaving is meditative. Each loop, each knot, is a small act of patience. For Prash, shaping and preparing the frame is about precision, measuring, sanding, adjusting until it’s exactly right. Together, these processes create a flow in the studio: a balance of slow, steady repetition and sharp attention to detail.
We know the value of time shows up in the final work. The difference between something mass-produced and something made slowly, by hand, is that the latter carries intention in every inch.
built to last
We’re not interested in trends or throwaway culture. We don’t believe in disposable art. Our aim is to create pieces that stand the test of time, both in terms of physical durability and timeless design. What we create is made to be kept, cherished, and passed down through generations.
Prash builds using traditional woodworking techniques instead of shortcuts like screws or metal fasteners, because that’s how you respect the wood and make it truly last. The frames are carefully joined, treated, and finished so they remain strong and stable for years to come. And Ana’s fibres are carefully chosen for their beauty and quality. We only work with materials that truly honour the craft. And together, these elements create works that aren’t just decorative but enduring. We want our art to move with you, from one home to the next, from one stage of life to another, without losing its integrity.
When you choose one of our works, you’re not just decorating a wall. You’re investing in something meant to live with you, to gather meaning as the years pass.
“We want our art to move with you, from one home to the next, from one stage of life to another”
our commitment
At the heart of it all, our commitment is simple: to approach every step of our work with care, skill, and intention. We choose the best materials, refine our techniques, and take the time each piece needs to reach its full potential. This means not cutting corners, even when no one’s looking. It’s in the hours that no one sees, the testing, the adjusting, the quiet conversations in the studio, that our commitment shows itself most clearly.
We build things to last. Pieces that can be enjoyed, cherished, and passed down for generations. Every detail matters, and we make sure each finished work reflects the care, patience, and devotion we put into it. And when it leaves our studio, we want you to feel the difference. That’s what “behind the work” really means for us.
